SBWS has put in its best, unstinted efforts in developing an environment friendly park, spread over an area of around 2000 sq. meters, within its sprawling three-acre park.
Christened as ECO park, this area has an absolutely green turf, many trees & shrubs of different varieties, a forty-thousand-liter water harvesting pit, which has recharged the ground water level in and around the park, over the past few months, two large composting pits and an herbal lounge.
This small herbal lounge, which has several herbal plants like; Tulsi, aloe vera, Basil, curry patta, ajaiwan etc. was inaugurated by Saurabh Bhardwaj on 24 Sept.23.
The water harvesting pit was also constructed thru his funds in May 23. This pit has solved the long pending problem of water logging in front of S 406.
The next plan is to create a butterfly zone by planting several plants of “Ghunguniya”, which attract butterflies.
Residents are enjoying the serene atmosphere of this park by taking walks, doing yoga & sitting around. Residents have been requested not to bring dogs or play any games in this Eco Park.
