S block welfare society organized its X-Mas celebrations on Sunday, 22nd Dec.
It was a sunny day & there was huge participation. In addition to the usual stuff, SBWS added a huge attraction in the form of a two-horse- driven buggy, which was a huge hit with children & parents alike. There was a huge rush for riding the buggy & for clicking photos. Even Sr. citizens were equally enthusiastic about taking a ride. Perhaps they had missed this opportunity during their weddings.
Several other attractions, like a magician, a puppet show & singing of carols were there for kids. Cultural committee Ladies had toiled for ten days, preparing block kids for carol singing & children simply loved the performance. In addition, there were complimentary stalls by SBWS, offering popcorn, candy floss, burgers, samosas & hot chocolate espresso coffee.
Ladies of the cultural committee of SBWS headed by Sunita Goel had done excellent decorations all over the ECO Park. Stalls were put up for ring games, cone games, and other skillful games. A huge Christmas tree was put up for putting up your wish list & decorations.
Hon’ble Minister, Delhi Govt., Saurabh Bhardwaj was the chief guest, who extended his good wishes to all the residents & mingled with the children.
A huge eggless fruit cake, which was relished by all, was also cut by the Chief Guest to celebrate Christmas.
Our Guard, Mangal Singh, dressed as Santa Claus, distributed a bagful of candies & toffees to all the children.
A lot of residents appreciated the excellent arrangements & especially the buggy.
