Monsoons have been quite rough this time and even though lots of actions were taken well in advance by Malibu Federation and are continuing to be done now, we faced some bit of water logging like the other parts of Gurgaon due to excessive rains.
After the MCG took over the township in July’2022, we pushed MCG to provide us with Jetting Machine Trucks to clean all the sewerage and stormwater drains. With a daily follow-up with MCG these trucks were put into service for around 10 days inside all the lanes of the township and all the muck were loosened and cleaned.
Subsequent periodic cleaning of drains by our in-house team continued so that we don’t face blocked drains during rains.
Old ageing motors used at Good Earth Gate and Sohna Road gate for pumping out Sewerage and Stormwater from the township were replaced with brand new motors with new electric panels at an innumerable cost by the RWA Federation. Requests to MCG for changing them went unheeded and hence RWA had no other option except to purchase them for our township.
Higher speed breaker ramps were made at Good Earth gate and AVA Court gate to block rainwater flooding the main roads from entering into our township, which adds up tremendously to the water logging inside the township. This has been a success as seen in the recent rains.
Discussions were initiated with MCG and the lead was taken by Niranjan Yadav, Chairman of Malibu Federation to revive a pond behind UniWorld Gardens at Subash Chowk and channel the rainwater from this township towards the pond which could reduce the water logging inside our township. The necessary work is being done by MCG for the same and we should have some good news soon. We are hopeful that once implemented, this will be a win-win for the recharged pond and permanent relief from water logging within Malibu Towne.
