The run-up to the festival of Karwachauth was so much fun with ladies preparing for the special day in various ways. Multiple visits to the parlours, selecting beautiful sarees and suits, and matching the footwear and jewellery. However, the festival is not complete without applying Mehandi. The RWA arranged for Mehandi application in the RP2 lawns where 3 Mehandi artists set up shop in lawns.
Ladies came in large numbers and enjoyed the chit-chat while waiting for their turn to apply Mehandi. On the 1st evening, karwa chauth puja was held in RP2 lawns and many ladies joined in the pooja celebration. After the pooja was over, the ladies got together and enjoyed the evening with each other. Around 8:30 pm messages started floating around checking on the status of the sighting of the moon. Many couples were seen on the lawns or their balconies checking on the moon so that pooja could be performed and the ladies could close their fast for the day.
