A free health check-up camp was organized by the Rotary Club of Delhi Resources (RCDR) on Friday, 26 July, at the clubhouse, benefiting 172 attendees including support staff. The camp offered comprehensive health services, including consultations with specialist doctors from esteemed medical institutions.
The Oncology team from RGCIRC conducted oral cancer examinations, pap smears, and clinical breast examinations. Additional services including bone mineral density checks were also done.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of RCDR to create awareness and facilitate early cancer detection. The club has been working with institutions like AIIMS, Safdarjung, and RGCIRC. Notably, the first cancer hospital in Delhi was set up by Rotary at AIIMS about 40 years ago, now known as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital.
The success of the camp is attributed to the tireless efforts of RCDR and all its members.
The arrangements were meticulously planned by the present BOM and the facility, security and administrative staff. They were personally present to oversee the arrangements.
As far as AOH is concerned, this is the latest in a series of health initiatives by RCDR, including two mammography camps held last year, testing 20 females above 40 years on both days. The club is committed to organizing more such events, fostering a culture of wellness and compassion in the community.
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, neighbours became friends, and strangers became family, united by the shared goal of prioritizing health. The RCDR participating medical institutions and volunteers deserve accolades for making this event a resounding success.
