Road work was started in Malibu Towne in End February after the inauguration was done by honourable minister Rao Narbir Singh Ji in December and assurance given that it will start in February. Work continued for around 2-3 days from our Malibu Shopping Arcade towards OD and CW barrier. However, due to some long pending payments of the road contractor from MCG for work done by him last year, the work was stopped by him after just 2 days.
The RWA Federation has taken up this issue with the minister Mr Rao Narbir Singh Ji and our MCG Councillor Kuldeep Yadav to help in resuming the work. MCG Commissioner has assured that the dues of the contractor will be paid soon and road work in the township will restart at the earliest. All work orders mention a maximum timeline within which the work needs to be completed, and he assured that work will be completed within the same. Moreover, the contractors who are allocated with MCG work have to deposit a security amount which runs into lakhs to ensure they complete the work. So, it is in the best interest of the contractor also to finish the work within the time frame too.
