The newly elected RECA board has ambitious plans to upgrade and introduce new infrastructure and facilities to make the life of Ridgewood residents easier and more enjoyable.
One of the major projects that the new team is taking up is the complete rebuilding/ re- carpeting of roads within the complex. This will mean removing the existing layer and relaying a fresh road. Since the underground piping of sewage and water supply has also become old, these will also be replaced everywhere. The project is expected to kickstart in April this year.
After various committees have been formed by RECA residents can expect movement in different departments. Horticulture will be given a massive uplift, Waste management will be further fine-tuned and the objective is to be 100% compliant with Waste Segregation.
Even though Ridgewood is known for having a lot of CCTV cameras, some spots need coverage on CCTV, which will be done soon.
In the fun news, there are plans to open up a cafe in one corner of the lawns. A senior resident donated a brand new table tennis table so that is great news for TT enthusiasts.
On the IT front, the security system will be given an upgrade with some digital technology. A more effective complaint and redressal system will be adopted as well. Holi is just around the corner, so the cultural committee has got things going already.
Prez Naveen Zutshi says “ We will encourage residents to be forthcoming with suggestions and ideas for the benefit of all”
