Some residents who are always at the forefront of being in service to senior citizens ferried them in their cars. It was a boon to many who could not drive or walk down to the nearby Shriram School where Ridgewood voters had their polling booth. Though few seniors of 85 plus arranged to vote from their homes, many took advantage of the transport services provided.
The young however walked down or drove as the seniors used to do a decade or more ago. Both Mr. Pankaj Maniktalla and Mr. Suresh Chand Tiwari who ferried seniors, deserve kudos for their services rendered.
