The new rates for selling scrap or kabaad as of August 1, 2023, are: newspapers – Rs 15 per kg; cartons- Rs 10 per kg; books and magazines – Rs 12 per kg; plastic – Rs 12 per kg; brass (pital) – Rs 350 per kg; copper (tamba) – Rs 500 per kg; iron (loha) or steel – Rs 30 per kg; tin (canasterRs) – 20 per pc; beer/whisky bottle – Rs 1 per PC; aluminium – Rs 120 per kg; old AC – Rs 4000 The scrap dealer will visit the sector from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The RWCS-approved Kabadiwallah (scrap dealer) is Fahimuddin and can be contacted at 8368773736.
