The RWCS has revised the rates for scrap and shared the same on WhatsApp groups for the sector. The new rates for selling scrap or kabaad as of August 1, 2023, are: newspapers – Rs 15 per kg; cartons- Rs 10 per kg; books and magazines – Rs 12 per kg; plastic – Rs 12 per kg; brass (pital) – Rs 350 per kg; copper (tamba) – Rs 500 per kg; iron (loha) or steel – Rs 30 per kg; tin (canasterRs) – 20 per pc; beer/whisky bottle – Rs 1 per PC; aluminium – Rs 120 per kg; old AC – Rs 4000 The scrap dealer will visit the sector from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The RWCS-approved Kabadiwallah (scrap dealer) is Fahimuddin and can be contacted at 8368773736.
