There is growing participation in utilizing the Rotary-installed Bins for plastic waste near other Dairy. Last week, the weekly pick-up van carried 42 kg from Anand Niketan. The residents are requested to join this initiative by responsibly disposing of plastic waste in the designated bin for recycling. A significant impact can be made in averting environmental challenges if everyone participates in it. However, it is regretted that one still finds plastic litter including bags, ice cream cups, and wrappers around Mother Dairy and on the adjacent roads. Those who are visiting Mother Dairy are advised to use the provided bin for plastic disposal and refrain from littering our community spaces.
Last week, it was noticed that someone had dumped used and discarded tube lights at the Plastic Disposal Bin. Residents are requested to refrain from doing something like this in future and act more responsibly.
