An interactive session for better policing was held on the 18th Feb 2023 afternoon with ACP DLF Vikas Kaushik, SHO DLF Phase 1 Dinesh Kumar, Gwal Pahari Chowki in charge Mr Chetan & other DLF Phase 1 Police staff at the DLF – 1, Police Station at 3pm.
On behalf of the H Block RWA, HBRC coordinated the interactive session with ACP DLF.
Issues discussed were :
- Porous areas of G & H Block from Sikanderpur.
- Champa Marg thorough fare & other areas
- Traffic Violations: Wrong side driving from Gate No.3 & Gate No 1 towards Qutab Plaza red light & Bristol chowk. This is a major safety issue. The ACP assured us that they would make every attempt to curtail this violation by initiating regular challans against the violators.
- Intensified Patrolling to be initiated around G Block Park, H Block parks, green belts & Silver Oak market.
- To help remove undesirable elements from being a nuisance due to misbehaviour under the influence of alcohol and general rowdiness.
- A system of a single contact with the Beat officers will be initiated. Assigned Beat officers’ mobile numbers will be shared with the residents through the respective RWAs. These Beat officers will be contactable by the residents in the event of any problem.
- Issue of school being available for students was also discussed by the team from Sikanderpur Govt school & ACP assured full support on the same.
Overall a positive meeting aimed to provide viable solutions for the safety of the residents is concerned and to monitor and address any law and order issues regularly.
The ACP has offered to hold such interactive sessions regularly in the future too & HBRC to coordinate the same.
The meeting was also attended by Rama Rani Rathee, Chattar Singh Sarpanch from Sikanderpur, Sarpanch from other areas of Gurgaon, G Block RWA President Harsh Sehgal and other members of the G Block executive committee.
