Aawaz Group Volunteers (Aurobindo Verma, Kewal Ishwar Ramani, R.N Srivastava) met the DLF Phase 2 Estate Manager, DLF 2 and highlighted as under: Keeping in view of uncleaned empty plots, a few residents are getting the Vacant Plots in DLF-2 cleaned and installing Dustbins at their own cost. This was done in M 2 lane plots. Mr Anand (M 3/1) and Mr Parmindar Chatwal (M 2/42) took the lead and voluntarily got it cleaned.
The DLF Team can now support the residents by ensuring that garbage from these Dustbins is cleared on a regular basis. On meeting with the DLF Phase 2 manager Mr Dharamvir, he also assured that DLF sweepers will get these dustbins cleared on a periodical basis and it is being followed. Another important suggestion that was given was that DLF Security / QRT would ensure that a Dustbin is installed by All the Builders / Contractors outside the House which is under Construction and the labourers should throw the garbage in the bins instead of throwing here and there.
Another initiative by the Aawaz Group was the installation of compost bins for dry leaves in different parks in DLF-2. DLF immediately advised the Park Mali and Street Sweepers that Dry Leaves should be dumped into Bins on Regular Basis which will generate Compost Khaad. Currently 42 bins are installed. Three bins are installed in the community centre itself under Estate Manager Supervision.
