Residents Showcase Talent At ALS Art Exhibition

The Asian Literary Society (ALS) – a popular community that promotes Asian art, culture, and literature, organised a week-long art exhibition at the Art Gallery, Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI), New Delhi, from 21st January 2024 to 28th January 2024. Our Guest of Honour, Mr Amrendra Khatua (Former secretary, Ministry of External Affairs-India) & Mr Rohit Suri (Founder, Studio V18) graced the occasion.

For Green Park Extn, it was heartening to have our colony resident, Mr Rohit Suri, co-hosting the honour of inaugurating the programme. Mr Manoj Krishnan(Founder of ALS) the man with a vision, always comes up with new themes, providing a platform for everyone to participate. My heartfelt gratitude to him and hope that the flame of ALS remains bright with its ongoing programme.

The colorful journey of the art exhibition, a visual treat to the senses,  was displayed by 25 artists, namely, Anita Chand, Kiren Babal, Vandana Bhasin, Deepshikha Varma, Shikha Sheoran, Neelima Dayal Mathur, Rakhi Chanda, Poonam Chopra, Gaurisha Singh, Dr Nisha Wadhwa, Neeru Monga, Preeti Vishnoi, Dr Navya Gupta, Neeti Parti, Yana Bhanot, Deepa Jha (Ruchi), Monalisa Sahu, Anupama Suchiita, Payal Agarwal, Shilpi Srivastava, Mousumee Baruah, Shivpriya, Manoj Krishnan, Anita Malhotra, and Manisha Amol. A symphony of colour played its music. It was a euphoric moment and all were soaked into it.

From our colony Dr Nisha Wadhwa (N3, SF) and I (R4A, 3rd floor) most joyously participated in this art exhibition. Her two paintings, ‘Blooming Bliss’ and ‘Nature’s Bounty’ adorned the walls of the hall along with the others. My Neurography Painting (Emotional Harmony) and Mixed Medium Artwork (Inner Peace) found their rightful place on the wall. Colours bring so much joy, peace, and harmony to everyone’s heart.

It was a sheer joy to listen to various comments and appreciation of the artworks. All the dignitaries and esteemed audience who attended the inaugural ceremony appreciated the Asian Literary Society’s initiative to spread awareness about various art forms and promote artists.
