“My experience at the newly opened sweets shop – They were selling without a cash memo. On my saying this is illegal; they claimed their system was not working. They weighed 0.5 kg sweets with box (550 gm with the box). I told them to weigh the empty box separately which they agreed reluctantly. It weighed 95 gm. I gave them a piece of my mind and said it’s an infringement of Weights and Measure Act. I got my rightful weight subsequently. They apologized under garb of new staff. No responsible person was in the shop at that time. Residents be vigilant! It is in our interest.” Samvada received this experience from a resident to share with the readers.
