Street lights, between D-896 and D-900 have been absent, since a year. Despite repeated complaints, this issue, has not been addressed. Besides, the inconvenience, caused by invisibility, it is also a matter of security. Dark areas often promote crime and foster criminals to thrive.
The road, next to D-996, needs relaying and there is also, no pavement for pedestrians, since the last 20 years! Promises have been made by the contesting parties, but after the elections, all is pushed under the carpet and the residents are left suffering.
In another complaint, residents have shared pictures of roads where people cannot even walk. It is a pressing issue of this colony, Inspite of being an A category, it is not able to provide clean pavements, for pedestrians, to walk. We often talk of our experiences abroad, where walking is a pleasure, we come back motivated, to do the same in our country, but alas! The condition does not allow it. The streets are strewn with garbage and stagnated water, and sorry to say flowing self created urinal points, which obviously do not promote walking. One is compelled to “walk in a vehicle”!. Residents are still complaining of contaminated water supply, this issue is definitely very very hard to digest, who can survive, drinking smelly and dirty water!
Dolly Brara has brought to the notice of the local councillor the condition of the street outside D1000, nfc. Rightly pointing out, she says, this will soon become, the breeding ground for mosquitoes and other disease spreading pests.
