A female resident of the sector was recently alerted by a friend of hers that she (the friend) had received a WhatsApp message from an unknown number wherein the other person claimed to be this person. Shocked to learn about this, the resident herself messaged this fraudster and was deeply shaken when the fraudster shared an old photo of her. She eventually identified herself and told the other person off. She alerted her family and friends to beware of anyone impersonating her and not pay any money if asked. She alerted others about this fake WhatsApp account scam by posting it on WhatsApp status.
