Lately the central park has become more of a dog park. Where professional dog walkers walk in groups busy chatting and occupying the whole stretch.
In a recent incident in the morning this professional dog walker in a group was taking the dog for a walk. I politely told him not to take the dog in a group, which he also reciprocated in a nice manner.
The dog started doing poo on the park to which I again told him and tried to take picture of him.
To which he aggressively came on me (in pic) and hit me right on the face (mind all I have a retinal detachment case and any small injury I can lose my eye.
The guy with him also attacked me. Thank God the guards were near who came to my help. In the melee the girl dogwalker let her dog loose who bit the colony guard Manish.
The resident whose dogs were being walked came in the meantime and instead of supporting me took his side and said that I hit him first.
The question is that if residents are so unsupportive of a fellow resident why are we as EC members burn our blood for the colony.
This is what our colony has come to The consequences which has arisen from the whole incident is that due to the hit the IOL (lens) in my right eye has moved 95 % from the eye ball and in case it doesn’t come back I would have to undergo operation in which chances of losing my eye is 75 %. This is what one man’s aggression can do to another.
I sincerely thank SHO defence colony Chander Shekhar and his team who were very supportive. Lastly, I would say the Khakhee this time won over the green. (Also read related article on page 8)
