As we faced the challenges of November 2024, with air quality deteriorating and GRAP IV restrictions being invoked by the government, we urged everyone to adhere to the official guidelines and limit outdoor activities to essential needs only. In these trying times, your elected representatives of the RWA A Block Association remained steadfast in prioritising the well-being of our senior citizens. As a token of our care and respect, we were privileged to distribute pulse oximeters to 35 seniors of our association, aged 78 years and above, with a special focus on our most senior members, aged 90 and beyond.
This thoughtful initiative was made possible by the generosity of our esteemed philanthropist, Sushil Bagga, deeply committed to the welfare of our residents.
On 20th November 2024, we had the honour of hosting an event at the Crystal Room of our club to felicitate the senior residents. The evening was filled with warmth and joy, as over 75 seniors gathered to participate in interactive discussions and received pulse oximeters. Though initially planned for an hour, the event extended into the late evening, concluding joyously at 9:30 pm.
Highlights of the evening: Sushil Bagga explained the importance of monitoring oxygen levels and demonstrated the effective use of pulse oxymeters. The devices were distributed by Sushil Bagga, Harsh Bansal, Vice President RWA, and Harjit Kaur Bawa, Chairperson, SCF.
As your president and a fellow senior citizen, it brings me immense pride and joy to witness the active participation of our elderly residents in such initiatives. We are committed to organizing more such events in the future to ensure the happiness and well-being of our seniors. Let us continue to care for and cherish one another as a united community.
