Unity in diversity is our nation’s identity across the globe. ATS Village reflects exactly what the country stands for – despite the diverse spectrum of social strata among themselves. The Village residents are always forthcoming in celebrating all the festivals together in a true spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood. And when it is a festival concerning the nation, sky is the limit of the bonding in celebrating it together. So was it when the Village came together to celebrate India’s 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The day’s festivities began with the ceremonial flag unfurling, followed by the mellifluous rendition of the national anthem that sounded like a waft of nationalist resonance completely surrounding the vicinity of the venue, The Clubhouse. The tunes of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ reverberated in the air across the village drawing a large number of people out of their homes.
It was followed by the highlight of the event – a vibrant cultural program presented by the children of the society. Their energetic performances, ranging from dance and music to skits and recitations, left the audience mesmerized and proud. One could see little Subhash Chandra Boses proudly flaunting their uniform as they enacted ‘Nanha munna rahi hun…’ and little Bharat Matas waving the Tiranga as they danced to various patriotic songs.
To mark the occasion, a delicious and complimentary brunch was served to all residents, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. The cultural team of the AoA Board of Management has been remarkably organizing frequent cultural fests that keep the spirit of community celebrations alive.
The Republic Day celebrations served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and a proud feeling of India’s rich culture and heritage. The event was a testament to the spirit of unity and patriotism that defines the nation in general and ATS Village in particular.
Jai Hind!
