In B-2
Republic Day was celebrated by RWA B-2, Parkview Apartments, with great enthusiasm. Veena Saxena (vice president) welcomed the guests. The guests were Jagmohan Mehlawat (councillor), Gajendra Yadav (BJP MLA candidate), Arti Yadav (ex-councillor), Shobha Upadhyay (BJP Secretary, Delhi state), and A K Mehta (President, Vasantkunj Federation).
The national flag was hoisted by the guests along with the children of the society.
After thenational anthem and the dignitaries’ addresses, the local problems of society were discussed, and the best possible solutions were assured. A small get-together with snacks and tea and a short cultural program with patriotic songs and ghazal made the event more colourful.
The event ended on a positive note to meet soon.
In B-9
On the 76th Republic Day, the national flag was unfurled in B-9. Thereafter, the president of B-9, Ajay Mehrotra, who is an advocate by profession, gave a welcome address. The residents andchildren of B-9performed songs, poems, and dances. In between, sumptuous snacks were served for the residents. The president then gave a vote of thanks, followed by a delicious lunch. There was a great camaraderie between the residents of B-9. by Ajay Mehrotra, president, B-9.
In D-3/4
RWA D-3&4 organised Republic Day celebrations in the Community Centre lawns. The annual Sports Day event also formed part of the day’s events. The events were a great success.
The day started with the unfurling of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem. This year the chief guest was AK Banerjee. Several senior residents were felicitated during the function. A cultural program too was organised. Immediately thereafter, the sports enthusiasts too had a lot of fun participating in the various races. From tiny tots to super senior citizens, everybody had a great time. The winter sun kept everyone warm. Thank you, RWA team members, especially the sports committee. Great job done!
