The 75th Republic Day of our sovereign and beloved Country was celebrated with great zeal and joy at Saket Dham Society’s front Park on January 26,2024. On this special occasion, the society was profusely decorated with tri colored balloons and flags all around including the main gate and the venue of celebrations.
Residents of Saket Dham started pouring in at the venue immediately after the patriotic songs were played on the deck. Quite a good strength of residents gathered quickly to grace the occasion. The residents looked fresh, energetic, full of excitement and in a great festive mood for the celebrations.
The national flag was unfurled by the ladies of Saket Dham signifying and depicting the ‘Naari Shakti’. As soon as the flower petals were showered from the fluttering tricolored flag, the National Anthem was sung by all the residents in chorus. Snacks and hot tea were served post flag unfurling ceremony. Some residents sang songs remembering the martyrs and freedom struggle heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our Country. Cultural programme was organised in which children participated very enthusiastically. They read out poems soaked in patriotism and danced to their best of talent getting loud applause from the audience. Prizes were distributed to all the children who participated in the cultural programme.
This opportunity was also utilized by the management committee to provide briefs regarding updates on the major shaft and facade work recently completed and to discuss the other internal issues of the society. The celebrations concluded with sumptuous and finger licking community lunch.
