Republic Day Celebrations At Ridgewood

Republic Day marks the adoption of India’s constitution and its transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. Every year, the celebrations marking the day feature spectacular military and cultural pageantry.  The theme for the Republic Day Parade 2025 was ‘‘स्वर्णिम भारत – विरासत और विकास’’।

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in Ridgewood with immense zeal and patriotism. Blessed by a gracious Sun God, the event began with an impressive march-past led by the residents and staff, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums. The air was filled with the spirited chants of “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram,” uniting everyone in a wave of national Pride.

This was followed by the ceremonial flag unfurling and the singing of the National Anthem, evoking a deep sense of belonging. The president’s heartfelt address to the gathering added meaning to the occasion.

A vibrant cultural program saw children performing energetic group dances, joined by talented kids from I Light Global NGO, spreading joy and enthusiasm. This was followed by a quiz on the Constitution of India. Security guards, gardeners, housekeeping, and fire staff were also facilitated for their outstanding performance in helping residents during difficult times. The celebration concluded with everyone enjoying warm tea and refreshments, making it a day of pride, togetherness, and shared memories.
