Republic Day Celebrations at Morpheus

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, in Mahagun Morpheus, bringing residents together for a day of unity and joy. The festivities began with the hosts, Sonu Rathore and Ruchika Jain, inviting senior citizens for the flag-hoisting ceremony. The central lawn resonated with the heartfelt rendition of the national anthem by all residents; their faces reflected pride and joy as the tricolor was unfurled.

Thereafter, the cultural program commenced with the recital of patriotic songs by Ved Agarwal, Aryan Vashisth, Gunjan Agarwal, Sonu Rathore, Madhvi Joshi and Deepa Kandpal evoking deep emotions for the sacrifices made by our forefathers. A soulful guitar performance by Ved and Raghav Maheshwari added a musical touch to the morning. An enthralling and informative quiz on Indian Constitiution was conducted by Ruchika Jain, which kept the audience engaged while morning tea and sweets were distributed to all.

A beautiful and educational skit was performed by children of mixed ages along with some dances on environment conservation. Ved, Aryan, Arna, Anshita, Prakrit, Garvik, Shanaya, Neil, Jaisvi, Kashi, Ved, Ambar, Kavya, Lavanya put their heart and soul into performing the act. Kudos to Gunjan and Neha who had their hands full coordinating so many children. Ruchika, Sonu and Gunjan performed some well-coordinated moves on ‘Desh Rangila’ song which celebrated the diversity of our nation.

The last item of the event was dressing up in state costumes. Vinaya was wearing a traditional saree from Andhra Pradesh while Ananya dressed up in white-and-red Bangla saree. Ruby wore phulkari from Punjab while Parul was dressed in Kashmiri attire. Sonu was wearing poshak from Rajasthan while Ruchika was representing Uttar Pradesh. All ladies were looking resplendent in their traditional state attires.

After the cultural program, live singers created a relaxed and cheerful ambiance for everyone to enjoy. The day concluded with a delicious lunch, offering a spread of traditional Indian delicacies that left everyone delighted. Such celebrations bring the community closer and reignite a sense of national pride.
