We at Ridgewood had a gala function to celebrate this prestigious day.
We started the event with a Walkathon. A walk around the condominium to boost the patriotism of the residents. It was really inspiring to see young kids and senior citizens marching right in front shouting the slogans “Vande Matram & Jai Hind “.
This was followed by Flag hoisting by the children of our condominium.
This year we got a permanent flag installed in our park. The Secretary then addressed the gathering which was followed by patriotic songs by our beloved senior citizens.
And for the kids we had a drawing and slogan writing activity to spread awareness about the “Importance of waste management and segregation for a cleaner and greener future.”
There were about 52 kids who participated in the activity. All these events were enjoyed by the residents.
