PCPH AOA organized a memorable Republic Day celebration. The event started with a flag unfurling ceremony by Lt. General Ravi Chadha & Air Commodore Nrip Kumar Mehta. They inspired the gathering with their patriotic speech & urged everyone to keep the nationalism spirit high.
The decoration with the tricolour backdrop lifted everyone’s spirits. The cultural extravaganza commenced with kids’ performances – the song Teri Mitti Me by Akshat (PH4), poetry by Aksh, & dance by Munindra, Andrika, Awni (PC15), Aarna, Nayonika, Aadya and Lakshita.
Dances by Dr. Neeta, Vaishali & Shailja (PH2) and patriotic songs played by Sahil Riyaz (PH2) & Ankur Krishnan (PH3) made the audience feel nostalgic. Zumba divas Aastha, Anita, Abha Gautam, Divya, Devyanjali, Neeta, Satnaam, Varooni, Rachna & Priyanka from PH2/ 3 added to the festivity.
Sports activities were a major attraction with games like frog race, lemon race, musical chairs for senior citizens & more. Great sportsmanship made the games more exciting. Food stalls offered mouth-watering delicacies – Jalebi, Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji & more, that tantalized everyone’s taste buds.
The event ended with an award ceremony; winners of the different competitions were recognized & awarded. All participants were given gifts to appreciate their performances.
The Republic Day celebration was a grand success and will be remembered by all who attended for years. The cultural activities, sports events & food stalls brought everyone together, fostering a sense of unity & community spirit.
Anshu Gupta did an excellent job as the compere. She kept the audience engaged & motivated the participants with her encouraging words.
