Amidst the haze and fog, Alok Vihar-1 came together to celebrate the 75th Republic Day. The event commenced with the unfurling of the national flag by the senior citizens followed by an enthusiastic singing of the national anthem and a march past to commemorate the patriotic day and the wins of India as a nation in the last 75 years.
The day saw a number of magnificent cultural performances by the children of Alok Vihar-1. Ranging from dance and singing performances dedicated to the significance of the day to the stellar organizations of the nation such as ISRO and the landing on the moon. It garnered great exhilaration and a much needed gathering to ward off the weather blues. The event ended with race competition for residents of all age groups which was followed by lunch.
