Weather holds the key to preparations, rehearsal and the climax. By virtue of being amid harsh wintry conditions, Princeton residents received a note and invitation drafted by the Condominium for the celebration of Republic Day in the Central Park of Princeton, in front of 1A and 1 B towers on 26th January 2023 at about 10 30 am. Though the bitter winter was dampening the spirits of the residents, the oneness and patriotism inside everyone surfaced and people started leaving their cosy beds and getting ready enthusiastically for the celebrations.
Promptly by 10 am Princetonites came out of their apartments to gather at Central Park and occupied their seats with new ardour.
The honourable President of the Condominium, Dr Kazmi, formally attired, accompanied by Mr Rahul, (Chief of the Securities), marched to Central Park to unfurl the Indian flag and our majestic National anthem was sung. It was a sight of great reverence.
Next was the inspiring speech by Dr Kazmi, highlighting the events of 1950, and the great contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and other freedom fighters thus paying homage to our renowned leaders.
A list of good deeds of the Condominium was also enlisted as a mark of pride and achievements.
This was followed by the cultural program of tiny tots and teenagers of Princeton. Every performance was at its best entwined with the zeal and enthusiasm of our precious youngsters. The elders and youngsters had their parts of chat and later the celebration was concluded with light refreshments arranged by the Condominium.
The sight was spectacular and it seemed that harsh weather had openly accepted its defeat before the passionate, ardent, patriotic gathering of our proud residents.
