The RWCS celebrated the 76th Republic Day on January 26 with a spirit of deep patriotism. The lawn was decorated with balloons and flowers in the tricolour. A diya was lit in memory of bravehearts and freedom heroes who had laid down their lives to protect the motherland, and a picture of Bharat Mata was also garlanded.
The flag was unfurled by RWCS President Govind Sharma, and the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” was sung.
In his speech, Govind Sharma talked about how important it is to consider the welfare of the whole sector rather than individual ones. Highlighting the sector’s growth, he said that sector 26 is now considered one of the best in NCR. He said the sewer line, which had been pending for years in B and C Block, had been completed after continuous efforts.
President continued his speech and talked about the work of road surfacing in the sector, which will start very soon. He also discussed the problem of dogs and said that it’s something universal and not limited to the sector alone.
