Any nation is an aggregate of its numerous communities. Our community, Stellar Kings Court celebrated our national festival Republic Day 2023 on January 26th with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event was held in society’s front lawn, which was decorated extensively in the colors saffron, white and green.
The celebrations included terrific performances consisting of singing, dancing and much more. Our RWA president Ms. Manpreet addressed the gathering to initiate the event. The national flag was hoisted by a group of our senior citizen ladies.
Residents enjoyed listening to their neighbors’ rhythmic renditions of patriotic songs like “Vande Matram”, “Hum Hindustani”, “Ghar kab aaoge”, and “Saare jaha se achha”. After that, there were vivacious dance performances by the children on multiple melodies such as “Lehra Do”, and “Nanna Munna Rahi hu”. We also heard some amazing facts about our motherland that inspired pride for our country in the listeners.
Since Republic Day coincided with Saraswati Pooja this year, many of the residents offered their prayers to the goddess Saraswati. The residents enjoyed hot tea and snacks while clicking pictures to keep an everlasting record of this memorable day!
