Republic Day celebrations at RP2 were another occasion for the residents to come together and celebrate with each other. It was a beautiful, sunny yet chilly morning when the lawns of RP2 came alive with patriotic songs.
On one side, there was a parade on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi. Our security staff also donned their ceremonial uniforms and marched. The flag was unfurled by the President of RWA to the singing of the national anthem by all. Some senior residents shared their thoughts on feelings of pride for the nation. Children put on a stellar show with their performances of patriotic songs, reciting poems, and playing beautiful melodies on the keyboard. Children also performed beautiful dance pieces. It was amazing to watch youngsters speak about the country and the significance of Republic Day with great confidence.
Soon after the program was over, residents got together to enjoy snacks and got an opportunity to chit-chat and enjoy the beautiful weather in each other’s company.
