A day of pride and joy for every citizen of the Republic of India was also celebrated with great fervour at the community centre, K block & at the N block Police station DLF phase-2
The RWA of DLF 2, sent out an invite to all residents to attend the Republic day celebrations at the Community Centre in large numbers. Children from the NGOs, Nishanth seva foundation & Masood foundation entertained all with a few stage performances. Asrit Kaur also spoke about the constitution, while Mr. Sawhney shared some of his childhood stories of the first Republic day celebrations. Also, present there were Chief Guests Smt Rama Rani Rathee & Mr Manish Yadav who joined in the celebrations and were audience to the lovely performances.
The celebrations called for some scrumptious delights of aloo tikki, kulcha chana and non-stop chai followed by lunch on a chilly and windy day.
The celebrations at the N block police station also took off with the unfurling of the National flag by Dr Neeru Dhir, Pt. Amarnath ji & Ravi Bhatotiya ji. Shri Vipin Yadav & A few of the residents joined them in this honour.
Senior citizen Mr Sawhney and other prestigious residents were also present there. Post unfurling the flag, a ‘Salaami’ was presented by our police jawans. Mr Sawhney presented a beautiful poem. Each one present there introduced themselves to the other as well as to the staff of the police station. The neat, clean & well-organised police station was a sight worth all appreciation.
