There are few people in our lives who leave behind cherished memories and their footprints to be followed by us. Sudarshan Kumar Sobti born on 23rd oct 1929 was such a person who will always be remembered for his fearlessness, truthfulness, intelligence, will to serve people and having the strength to stand by with you if you are right. Very few people have this character. He lives a very enriched life as a communist leader, writer, shayar ( he was very good with urdu poetry) and his memory was remarkable. Those people who stand by truth are rare to be found in todays selfish world. He was always full of life and positive despite having a challenging life where his son and daughter in law are differently abled , but that never deterred him from doing social service and he stood like a rock to his grand child and supported him till the time he was alive with hus wisdom, love and guidance. Team Samvada pays its tribute to the noble soul.
Shiv Lal Watwani: Words fall short to describe this selfless man who was dedicated to social work. He helped everyone without any bias. I still remember his daily calls when he will give me some news to be printed in Samvada. He would keep sending me photographs of various events held in SJEnclave. I miss his voice and his precious information. He was an integral part of Efforts group and senior citizen club and actively participated in all the events. Elder ‘s day function is not complete without his presence. Forever ready to help organise events in the library and also in B2 block, Sl Watwani is fondly remembered by all. Team Samvada pays its tributes to the gentle soul.
