Post Diwali for years it’s common sight in most of the colonies that the used idols, diyas, flowers, etc. are left bundled under Peepal trees as there is no proper procedure / facilities for disposal of such sacred items used in the puja. This year PRWS Gen Sec Poonam Jain gave a thought to it for ‘respectable’ disposal of these items and accordingly, a basket was kept at the Entry Gate # 9, adjacent to Mega Mall, for the purpose.
PRWS made arrangements with a disposal agency for the appropriate further disposal /recycling. The residents appreciated the move and cooperated whole heartedly in this anti-pollution initiative.
