I am glad to share that Dr. Tapaswini Pradhan, the Senior Consultant – Head & Neck Oncosurgery at a New Delhi hospital is our fellow resident at Kalypso. Dr. Pradhan’s journey began with her medical degree from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College. “I pursued postgraduate specialization from Lady Hardinge Medical College and honed my expertise in ENT and Head and Neck Cancers at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.”
Dr. Pradhan refined her expertise through advanced training in Transoral Laser Surgery (TOLS), Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at globally acclaimed institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Pradhan’s career is adorned with numerous accolades, including the ‘Most Trusted Head and Neck Cancer Surgeon of India 2024’ and leadership in oncology: Golden AIM Conference & Awards 2024 (Dubai), Bharat Visionary Award 2024, Best Surgeon 2024 Award, Top 100 Women Healthcare Professionals 2024, National Health Excellence Award 2024, Golden AIM Award 2024, Nishtha Award 2024 and more.
These awards highlight Dr. Pradhan’s innovations and commitment to holistic cancer care. “I recently briefed our Hon’ble President on preventive cancer measures.”
Dr. Pradhan has harnessed social media power to educate and motivate a global audience on cancer.
On a question on her ambition, Dr. Pradhan replies, “I envision a future where cancer is no longer a life-threatening diagnosis but a manageable condition, treated with compassion.” She is working on eliminating the stigma surrounding cancer and raising awareness about prevention.
Dr. Pradhan’s dream is to integrate modern medicine with spiritual practices. She also says, “awareness is the key to cancer prevention”.
