Philanthropist of DLF 2 says she is a learner not a teacher
Resident of K Block, Dr Shashi Kochar is a retired Education advisor from Niti Aayog, she was HOD of – English Department, at Motilal Nehru College, New Delhi. She has taken up teaching
school children and children from various NGO’s free of cost. Not wanting to be paid, awarded or mentioned she likes to work quietly to help and support everyone.
Recently she was invited by the Migrants Resilience Collaborative to speak about migrants’ laws and rights. Shashi ji has got many migrant’s children admitted to schools. She helps them in getting medical treatment, opening bank accounts and any other help they require. she supports an NGO by the name of Spreading Smiles, where she along with volunteers celebrated Holi with children with lesser privileges.
Shashi ji believes that learning never stops and one can be a learner all through one’s life.
