Holi is a big festival of India and gives a message of goodness and victory of good over evil. Every part of India celebrates holi in their own way. One day before holi many people do puja and prepare goodies at home like kanji pakora, gujia, dahi bhallas and many other sweets. A week before holi get togethers are organised by various clubs and also among friends and relatives.
Club 26 holi celebrations is popular among the younger generation, they get to dance, play with water and have enough place to run after each other and throwing colors and balloons. Holi at club was organized near the swimming pool area and free thandai and colors were offered by club. Kids were seen enjoying with their friends by putting colors on each other, while the elders were carrying their packets of gulal and greeting each other. All had fun while dancing on holi songs and later they had hot poori sabji and halwa at a small price of 50 rupees.
C block Members also arranged a holi milan program for the residents in their park. They arranged a dhol vaala and a caterer for this occasion. 80 residents gathered with family and friends. The whole atmosphere got pepped up as the dhol vaala started playing on his drums. Everybody there stood up and danced on the lyrics. Kids were running after each other carrying pichkaris in their hands and dragging each other to put colors and burst water balloons.
Elders were wishing and hugging each other and putting gullal. Residents with multi colored gulal on their faces were happy with the celebrations sitting and chatting with each other and simultaneously enjoying hot bread pakoras thandai, chole bhature, rice with raita and gujias.
They were so happy with the celebrations that they together decided to organise even bigger and better program next year.
