Rang Panchami Celebration

PCPHAOA organised Rang Panchami on Sunday, 12 March at Club 3. The event began with a children’s fashion show which saw 30 participants. Ganishca Lumb (PH2) & Nyra Aggarwal (PH3) were adjudged the winners.

This was followed by performances showcasing our community’s diversity. Zumba Divas performed on Sufi numbers like Afreen Afreen & Ishq Sufiyana. Food stalls offered treats & refreshing beverages to keep everyone energized throughout.

A highlight was the stalls offering decor, jewellery, Indian outfits & organic fragrances. It added a festive touch & provided an opportunity to indulge in retail therapy. Another highlight was the 360° photobooth which the kids enjoyed.

Sufi melodies were a captivating part of the evening. The music echoed through the air as the Nizami Brothers took the stage. They weaved their magic & left the audience spellbound with their renditions. They personalized their performance for the crowd present, engaging with the audience in a unique way, speaking about different segments – elders, couples, singles, & friends. It was heart-warming to see how they created an inclusive atmosphere.

A power breakdown during the performance did not dampen the energy of the night. It turned out to be a blessing as the audience quickly came to the rescue with their mobile flashlights. The sight of tiny lights swaying to the music created a mesmerizing ambiance.

The Nizami Brothers fed off this energy to deliver an unforgettable performance. The singer was motivated by the audience’s enthusiasm; his voice resonated with emotion. They entertained us with numbers like Kaali Kaali Zulfon & Sharaab Peena Sikha.

The Nizami Brothers’ rendition of Dama Dam Mast was the perfect finale to the night. The crowd joined in, singing along & dancing to the beats, creating a sense of unity & celebration.

We are grateful to the AOA for bringing together such a performance. Commendable! We anticipate more such enriching cultural events.
