With winter finally out of the way, Carltonites dawned their crispy whites to celebrate the Holi Festival organized by the Cultural Committee.
The afternoon began with a loud colour bang! Kids ran around with water balloons whilst the adults went with the more traditional approach of playing with dry colours. The DJ kept the dance floor burning with his tunes and the food counters were ready to feed all the Holi players.
However, what stole the show was the selfie point created by the cultural club to click some memorable pictures. In the middle of all the colours, there were surprise games organized by the committee with tipsy prizes. After a while even our CECA president Mr Tharwani couldn’t contain the Holi excitement and a water pipe was used as a “rain shower” to give the residents a feel of the wet Holi.
After celebrating the Holikadahaan the night before with much gusto the residents also spent an eventful afternoon with good music, good food, fun games and excited residents waiting to join in the merriment.
