The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir was held at Ayodhya on 22 January with much anticipation and events marking the pious occasion. To celebrate this auspicious day, many events were organized at the Utopia temple premises. Starting from 4 pm, there was 1008 Hanuman Chalisa path at the temple followed by Ram Puja.
The euphoric moment was when Rath Yatra began at 5.30 pm with children dressed as Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman seated on a flower bedecked chariot and devotees singing bhajans and dancing along with it. The procession took a round of the Utopian complex and returned to the Mandir.
All devotees were dressed in yellow or orange clothes.
After the Rath Yatra ended at the temple, there was a Bhajan Sandhya by people from ISKON, followed by aarti and bhandara. The mandir looked mesmerizing with the glow of hundreds of lit diyas.
It was a memorable day with Diwali like fervour gripping the Utopians.
