Jai Shree Ram. Ram Leela – A beautiful and enchanting theatrical performance was showcased by our very dear talented children from the age group of three and a half to twelve years on 29th October in Silver Oak Hall of the Club. The stage was lit up with a medley of drama, music and dance, narrating the epic story of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman and other important characters in an accessible and child-friendly format. The audience was welcomed by a ‘Shree Rama’ stole. It was a much-awaited show, post weekend classes attended with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm by the cast. The show was conceptualised by Ms. Yashika Grover from ‘Kathacurryy’ and organised by Richa Gupta and Radhika Gupta. The performances were vivid and memorable. The audience erupted in thunderous applause which boosted our little artists. It wasn’t easy putting it all together ‘cause the children being really small were sweetly getting distracted and naughtily talking and wandering away, but we’re very happy we could pull it off. We believe it is important for us to introduce the younger generation to our heritage and hopefully we have tried achieving the same through this presentation. They captured significant moments of our history. The participants included Ronnica Manocha, Anaya Mishra, Riaan Gupta, Jenisha Mittal, Iktaj Singh, Prayan Govil, Viren Gupta, Vani Gupta, Riyanna Manocha, Tashi Gupta, Vedantika Saraswat, Hanumant Goil, Inara Govil, Ronnin Manocha, Gauri Sharma, Aveer Jain, Aarav Sahni, Kiaan Kataria, Ayaan Taneja, Aaron Kataria, Adya Singhal, Myra Thapar, Shaina Manocha, Arya Gupta, Ishani Gupta and Vivaan Kalra. They were the best listeners, fantastic teammates, smart problem-solvers and so in tune with their emotions that all in all the cast rocked the stage! As they say, Theatre is a word with a magic ring, it conjures up a bright and exciting picture. As we received an overwhelming response by all, we are soon planning a Christmas production. Stay tuned, dear eager audience, for the wonders behind the curtains of the stage and wait for those house-lights to dim!
