Known as the Pride of Vasant Kunj, Raj Bansal ji, 73 year- old, has become a national sensation, dominating the National Masters Swimming Championships with an incredible two medals won this year in the recently concluded championship in Bhopal. Her remarkable streak includes a silver medal in the 400m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke event.

Raj Bansal is a model of discipline and focus. She trains five days weekly, balancing endurance, technique, and speed. Her mental toughness is also key—she stays focused and positive, believing that age should never limit one’s potential.

 Rather than focusing on records, Raj emphasizes the joy of swimming and the importance of pushing oneself. Discovering this sport in her 30s, Raj says, “It’s never too late to start,” inspiring others to pursue their passions, regardless of age.

 She has a highly impressive record of winning three medals in the National Masters Swimming Championship in 2023 as well, along with gold medals in the Delhi state championships in 2022 and 2018.

 As she looks to the future, Raj has no plans of slowing down and hopes to compete internationally. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance, showing that determination and passion can defy age.
