The GOAAO, welfare body of Grand Omaxe, got in touch with the Noida Authority to get the nullahs of the outer boundary cleaned before the arrival of the monsoon.
The rain-water drain is a pathetic scene in the earlier months as dry waste, leaves and polythenes/wrappers all find their way into the drain due to wind or by callous attitude of people who throw away garbage here.
A careless act, the filth in the drain that is meant to flow creates hassles for the people only when rain water flows and gets accumulated on roads and backflows in the society complex.
The cleaning of drains in Noida was delayed this year since the Authority departments were busy on election duties. GOAAO with constant touch with the Authority officials ensured that cleaning work gets over before rains start. Cleaning of the drains by JCB would help to prevent any water accumulation and logging, and prevent any backflow of sewage water into ground floor flats.
The residents were assured through internal communication that the EC was working proactively to ensure that they are well prepared before the monsoon.
Another long-pending work of the society was undertaken, which was: repair and painting job of the outer boundary wall. Recently this project was satisfactorily completed. The EC expressed its thanks and satisfaction on the completion of the job – “We are pleased to inform you that your board has completed the paint work of the entire outer boundary wall after the repair work was completed which has never ever been repaired in last 10 years.”
Conveying their “Thank you” to all for the support and confidence in them, a video of the painted wall was shared with a note, “In case of any part of the boundary part is unattended, please report to us and we will get it fixed.”
