E-Block celebrated Holi with traditional Gaiety, colourful Organic Gulal, Chandan, Flower Petals and a special enclosure for Rain Dance, where residents with their Family and Friends rocked to the thumping music of DJ.
This year to ensure orderly conduct at the food stalls, the RWS decided to have two separate enclosures. One section open to all, to have fun and frolic in Rain Dance and enjoy Hot Pakodas and Thandai. The other enclosure was for Lunch open only for Subscription paying members and their family and friends.
The Rain Dance was the big draw, for Children and Grownups, Ladies and Men all just would not leave the floor. Thanks to the Large water Tanker provided by the DJB on the request of RWS to Saurabh Bharadwaj. Thankfully the day was warm and just right for the wet Holi. However, there were a few voices showing concern for wastage of water, but were placated on being informed that a total of 6000 liters of water is used for the whole community to Enjoy and Celebrate collectively.
RWS announced an early Lunch at 12:45 pm as Rain Dance was on without a Break, but that did not pull the Kids & Youngsters out and they danced till the Tanker went dry well past 1:30 pm. Lunch was the usual Holi spread of Purani Dilli ki Delicacies Bedmi Poori & Aloo Sabzi, Stick Kulfi, Pakodas, Thandai etc.
