The day was 26th January and time 10 am. On any usual day the campus would be abuzz with sounds of cars and people walking but on this it was,all very different. RP2 lawns came alive with patriotic songs for celebrations of Republic Day. Residents of RP2 were seen in the lawns in their colorful best with some dressed in the colors of the tricolor. The celebrations began with unfurling of the flag as well as playing the national anthem. The guards clad in smart ceremonial uniform gave a salute.
The residents and children participated in the cultural program which included a dance by little kids Tarini, Arya, Dhruv, Shlok, Inaya, Vritti, Vamika , Rishika, Naina , Gayatri and Nirvi. The choreography was done by our very own resident Rajani Kowshik. Urvish and Amaya also recited poems. Patriotic songs were played on the music system and many residents both young and old danced with enthusiasm.
The RWA had arranged a Live Chaat counter for refreshments which was a huge success. The entire complex was abuzz with excitement and energy the entire morning. Many residents sent messages of appreciation to the RWA team for their efforts towards arrangements of the celebrations.
