Exiting from Qutub Plaza gate, recently, has been quite troublesome. It was noticed that the Signal Light turns green only for 13 seconds which is a very short time.
As a result of this, it was often observed that people have started jumping the red light which is quite dangerous. During the red light, while people wait, they tend to be on the phone or in conversations so as soon as the signal changes there is a lot of honking. And no one can be blamed as the time to cross the light is much less.
Hence, through Samvad, residents have been wanting to request the concerned authorities to increase the green signal duration to 30 seconds to avoid any mishap.
Also, it was noticed that currently two traffic lights have been installed which creates a lot of confusion. The older one must be removed to save people from confusion or any mishap.
