QERWA Unites the Community to Celebrate the 75th Republic Day

As the sun rose on the 75th Republic Day, the residents of Gurgaon were in for a treat, thanks to the Qutab Enclave Residential Welfare Association (QERWA).

Organizing a grand event to commemorate this significant day, QERWA aimed to bring the community together, fostering a sense of unity and pride among its residents.

The primary agenda behind the 75th Republic Day Celebration was to create a platform for residents to come together and celebrate the spirit of freedom and community. QERWA envisioned a day filled with cultural richness, inspiring talks, and engaging activities that would not only entertain the attending families but also strengthen the bonds within the community.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a diverse array of esteemed organizations and schools, infusing a spectrum of flavors into the celebration.

Renowned entities such as Aakriti Foundation, We the People, Agrasar, Gurgaon ki Awaaz, Gurgaon First, YI, Museo, Sehreeti, TCLP, Hazards, and Cinema in Schools collaborated with QERWA, each contributing its distinctive touch.

During the 75th Republic Day celebration, a distinguished line-up of organizations actively participated, contributing to the event’s vibrancy and raising awareness on various societal issues. Where Sehreeti, translating to ‘together practices,’ brought to light its unique platform that engages with the urban environment, fostering collective initiatives, there the Young Indians (Yi), operating since 2011, elaborated on how the youth is the driving force for India. Museo Camera showcased the rich history of photography in Gurugram, and We the People Abhiyan highlighted how it has dedicated itself to cultivating active citizenship in India.

Even The Community Library Project, established in 2009, put up their famous pop-up library! Hazard Centre, founded in 1997, offers professional services to community and labour organizations. Each organization, through its distinctive mission, contributed to the collective awareness and celebration of community stren-gth during the Republic Day event.

Adding intellectual depth to the celebration, Professor Dinesh Abrol from the Institute of Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) India delivered a thought-provoking speech. Prof. Abrol encouraged the audience to share their views on how the community could be further improved, promoting active participation and engagement.

QERWA’s 75th Republic Day celebration stood as a testament to the association’s commitment to community welfare and unity. The event not only provided a day of joyous celebration but also fostered a sense of pride and togetherness among the residents.
