The presence of mind, of a daily walker, proved to be a Messiah, for a litter of pups, in Friends Colony East. Himani Singh, noticed a pregnant dog, during her walks, but after a few days, the dog disappeared. Himani, wondered if she had already given birth or she moved to another place.
It kept playing, at the back of her mind, when a day or two later, she heard, faint yelps, of puppies. With the help, of another walker Saleha, they followed the sound and found the puppies in a dry drain.
After paying, an amount of Rs 1500, to some men, they pulled the puppies out and kept them in a blanket lined, cardboard box.
Pictures of the puppies, were shared, on the colony Wassap group. Two puppies were immediately adopted.
A sharp mind and a compassionate heart, goes a long way, in promoting empathy.
