Public Person in Private Space

Sector 92 has an openness lacking in other sectors of Noida, and many from the city itself moved to the sector to get away from the hustle-bustle due its fast growth.

Sushil Kumar Jain, residing in B-21 Sector 92, has seen Noida come up and lived in Sector 37 for good 25 years. In 2018 the family decided to move from flat culture to a private house.

He is a calm private person, an artist – a lover of art and artifacts; likes to read on a wide range of subjects and writes on a variety of subjects relevant to the society after in-depth reading about it. The front portion garden of his home is taken care by him. The solitude of the green space is his rejuvenating place.

President of Sector-18 Market Association, which all of us know, he has worked up his way hard. Mr Jain hails from Sikandrabad, in Bulandshahar district, where he grew up watching his father helping the public in social causes. With diploma in electrical engineering from Hatras, in 1984, he started his own business and moved to Noida. In 1996 he opened first multi-brand showroom in Sector 18, Noida. It is then that he felt the need to have Sector 18 business persons come together for collective action, and made the Market Association that he is leading till date. The development work of the market is going at a swift pace, to be ready with an ultra-modern style by this September to time it with G-20 Summit.

Mr Jain’s contribution in Sector 92 is also noteworthy. He was president of RWA Sector 92, with the team that is presently working. “The present team members take my views on issues,” he told us. On his part he is aware and concerned to get sector issues resolved. “I believe in development-based thinking rather than complaint-based attitude. For development follow all processes. I have raised complaint to MD PVVNL for electricity distribution, transformer system, cabling, change of cable boxes, etc. Inspection was done 6–8 months back things. Budget has been approved and estimation of feeder and cable boxes done. All this was done through IGRS, which is an integrated system for grievance redressal in UP to achieve the goal of good governance using latest technology.”

“Residents should not wait, but work with the system for the betterment of the sector,” he said and further added that “… for this, residents need to be aware of the Work Circle and the concerned project engineer of the sector.” Mr Jain sees much improvement in the sector; for instance, there is not much complaint of street lights now. “Sub mujhe apna mante hain,” as he keeps in touch with the people and they respond well.
