Project -Personal Hygiene Initiative

Touching a subject of Taboo, which is normally not discussed in public domain

On Christmas Eve an effort has been made to address a social responsibility for the underprivileged section of our society

In Ridgewood with almost 900+ flats, our Ecosystem has a  large number of female house helps, must be 500+

The area of focus for this is to address the need for Sanitary Pads for female house helps. Hygine is important especially as they work inside our homes

In search for Genetic medicine this item Quittance Napkins was spotted at a very reasonable price. The supplier of this product was connected with the owner of Ridgewood J Block Medicine shop and was explained the need and asked if they could stock and sell this product

The J Block meficine shop has received the first consignment and is ready to dispense the pads from 25 December onwards

We have been able to help him strike a win-win price deal for benefit of underprivileged section of society. One packet comes in a pack of 08 pads and is priced at Rs. 20 a packet. It effectively works out to Rs. 02.50 a pad. Its almost 60% less than similar product available in market

Requesting Resident ladies to please share this information with their house helps and direct them to J Block medicine shop for purchase. This will be open for purchase by the support staff working in Ridgewood.

The medicine shop owner is further exploring the possibility of stocking Generic medicines is future for all residents. However this is his personal decision

Special word of appreciation for Sameeta Khanna, who spearheaded this Project. In fact she gave a packet of Quittance Napkins to one of the maid to take a actual user feedback, which was positive & encouraging

We are looking forward to support from Ridgewood Residents in creating awareness in community. This project is easily replicable and just requires some coordination efforts
