There are few people who leave a Mark in the society with their dedicated work, sincerity, approachability and polite/ loving behaviour.
Kiran walia (Ex MLA and Education Minister) is such a person who has charmed the people of her constituency with her loving nature and care for all. An illustrious and highly educated lady who achieved many milestones in her political career is liked by all. Her pleasing demeanour, polite behaviour and helping everyone else with the best of her ability had made her extremely popular among the masses.
As she turned 80 this year, her land birthday was organised at the library by Pankaj Aggarwal, Rahul sharma and Rajan’ Balguhar. All the eminent people from different RWA’ s of Safdarjung Enclave. SDA Green park, Arjun nagar, Malviya Nagar, Gautam nagar, Hauz Khas etc were invited. The library hall was full of her admirers who made special efforts to reach on time. The hall was decorated with balloons and bunting, there was music and laughter, chaats and food. Prof Walia greeted everyone with a big smile and freely mingled with all. Many cakes were brought and she cut the cakes amidst cheerful singing of “baar baar din ye aaye”.
Prof Nirmala talked about her long association with Mrs walia and expressed her love and admiration for her. All those who were present in the hall paid their respects and expressed their love to their loving leader.
The celebrations ended with a warm gratitude from Prof Walia to everyone.
